The size of Highlands Property gives us a uniquely large number of real data points to understand what is happening in the Southern Highlands rental and property investment markets. This deep market knowledge allows us to more accurately appraise your property for rent or sale. We also use this data to prepare periodic reviews of local market direction. These are made available exclusively to our own landlord clients, and summarised from time to time in our monthly news.
News
We prepare carefully researched news and opinions of relevance to market watching landlords. These appear in Property Press each fortnight, from time to time in the local press, and in our regular News. With the launch of this website much of this material will be made available as e-News. On-Line Access
We already use the internet and email extensively. We encourage landlords to receive their monthly communications and statement via email wherever possible.
We also offer the ability for landlords and tenants to use the internet to access their respective account information on-line. The data is carefully secured and available only to the party to whom it belongs with password protection.
For tenants this will remove the excuse of not being aware of where their rent is paid to, because they will be able to access their current tenant ledger to check.
For landlords it will provide the ability to access current and recent archive information at will, or provide their password to their accountant, who can then access their accounting data instantaneously.
Later our system will allow on-line access to the progress being made with repairs events.
Landlord Insurance
At Highlands Property we see numbers of situations where landlord insurance has saved landlords financial pain, and on the other hand, situations where the lack of landlord insurance has caused financial pain. As a consequence we recommend the greater peace of mind that landlord insurance offers.
We have searched for policies that are available for this purpose and found one offered by Terri Scheer Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd. Terri Scheer is a broking company specialising only in landlord insurance. They are owned by Vero Insurance Limited, who underwrites the policies. Detailed information is available from the website terrischeer.com.au. Their current annual premium for landlord insurance in NSW is $325.00
Another active participant in this market is AON. Their equivalent landlord insurance policy is $315.00 per year in NSW.
